Saving money with Dave Ramsey

I just started reading a book by Dave Ramsey called The Total Money Makeover. I started using some of his tips, and even though things are really tight from pay check to pay check, I know this system is going to work. Has anyone ever used any of Dave Ramseys techniques? If so how is it going for you?

I've never heard of this guy but I'd be interested in learning more. You can never have too many money saving tips! What's different about his book to all the other budgeting / saving money guides though? I mean, why has this one got you excited?

I haven't heard anything bad about his ways, and if it worked for him and many others, why can't it work for me. I have to admit it has been pretty tough, living from pay check to pay check. But I see a light at the end of the tunnel. I'm doing my research and it seems his system really works. I've cut back on a lot things that we don't need to buy like movies for an example. Not doing extra stuff like eating out more than once a week. I guess i'm just excited about getting out of debt. Thats my big thing. He has a talk show on the radio. I listen to it sometimes. and there are so many things on the internet about him. just look him up.

I'm not in the US, which is probably why I'd not heard of him. I looked him up on the net, & his advice looks good. He erminds me of a guy called Martin Lewis who runs a website called Money Saving Expert in the UK.

Is that guy that goes on Lorraine Kelly and goes on about getting out of debt and how to beat your credit cards??
