Recently bough a DELL XPS 1330 notebook...CD drive makes noise..Is it same 4 u ?

I bought a notebook Dell xps 1330 and the cd drive makes lot of noide when cd is inserted..Has anyone of u experienced the same or is it the prob particulary with my notebook ?

i don't know.but i've got a laptop but not a Dell.But i've never heard of the CD drive making alot of noise when CD is inserted.
You may want to contact the technical dept of Dell and mention about that problem and see what they do say about it.
Never hurts to find out though just to be sure.
I know that you're worried b/c you paid alot of money for the laptop,
and than hear a noise like that....it's scarey in a way.

Exactly..have bought the highest config possible and spent around 1 lakh rupees for it..

I got a DELL XPS M1210 and it has the same character. I suppose its in the genes and should not be a bother to its performance.
