What do you remember playing as a child that if you suggested now the kids would think you are mad? I remember hopscotch, elastic, jacks, jumprope, cats craddle what about you how did you amuse yourself before playstations and mobile phones came along?

As a child at school my favourite game was kiss chase! I think it would be banned at schools now! But I loved it, being chased by lots of girls for a kiss was wonderful! I thoroughly enjoyed it especially as there were far more girls wanting to play than boys, guess that told me something about myself! I also loved skipping too! What am I like eh. Those were the days, I think so much has been taken away from childhood thanks to technology which is not always better.

This is a nice discussion, I just read thru it. It brought back lots of fun memories. Kids don't know how to play and use their imagination. I was never in the house, we played school, house, made tents with old sheets. We played tag, hide n seek, I spy, Easter eggs, the list goes on and on. Kids have no idea what to do these days. They don't know how to get along with out all the electronics.

That is very true, although my little boy still drags all the contents of the linen cupboard out into the garden to make tents with so maybe there is hope yet lol
