Phew...I know I did wrong. Yesterday, I blew my cool when I saw a post offering myLotters lessons in Hacking! But it sooooo offended me that this wonderful site could be used for potential crimes. Am I the only one that thinks this is not where we want to go on this site?

I'm no expert, but I'd advise you not to worry about this. In the 90's, hackers were often fairly smart people who actually did break into peoples' computers and commit various crimes. Now, this still happens, but there is a far larger percentage of newbies who call themselves hackers and don't actually do any harm...it's just an online status symbol among their peer groups. I don't really understand it, but I get the impression that the term "hacker" is now dated, mostly all the really bad people are writing spyware so they can steal massive amounts or information.

ThePaintGuru, Thank you for taking the high road in this discussion, and also for mollifying me. Have a great day!

You are not the only one who thinks its wrong. Did you turn the user in? I hope so. I would think this sort of thing is against the rules of the website. You werent wrong at all. Thats ridiculous.
