Here where I live tring to find and get a job is like tring to find a needle in a hay stack. There are no jobs around here. I've been out of work since sometime in 2006. My husband had a job lost it. Now both of us have been looking for jobs and we have a 2 month old little boy to take care of. Its been so bad that we had to move in with his parents and they are tring to help us out. My husband went to a temp service and got a job, but it was only working 3 days a week for 3 weeks. Then it was over. Exectly how is the job situation where you live at? Do you have the same problems we are having? What could be done to help?

We have jobs here. But because we have such a big population there is a great rush too. In fact, the bad thing here is that people are not willing to do manual job and stuff... the job dignity is not there. People respect only white collar job. That is the sad thing. Otherwise I think it is not that difficult to get a job for someone who is fairly educated.

Where exectly are you from? That is a bit sad that only white collar jobs get the respect. I think people who do maunal labor should deserve more respect because they are working their butts off. Dont get me wrong white collar job works work too, but not manually.

My husband and I moved to the country about 5 months ago. I'm still working at my old job, which is 1 1/2 hours away. Luckily my parents live close to my work, so I stay with them during the week to save gas. I've been on a desperate search for employment closer to our house even before we bought it! I had an interview last week at a place a 1/2 hour from our house, and that's the closest place that would pay about the same as what I make now. I'm also pregnant, so I feel I'm really in a tough spot for finding a job.
When I started looking, I had the assistance of a temp agency, but I found more jobs on my own. I guess it all depends on the population in certain areas.

here in India it is not at all easy to get a job, even if you are highly qualified. there is not only unemployment, but overemployment and underemploym, ent as well. you have 60 people working at a task which requires just about 10 people, and so there are lesser salaries, them you can see engineers working as mechanics, just cause all the positions are already full. all this and many other problems are to to population.
