I really enjoy writing childrens' stories, picture books in particular. I'm not published, mostly because I have not made a real effort to get published, but I really enjoy it. One day I'd like to get my work published though. Anyone else write childrens' stories? Anyone published?

I really like those short stories from before. Those that I think my grandparents have grown from since its not like the ones that I read on book shops now a days that only has that linear theme and you could very much figure out the moral. The stories that my grandparents grew from could be deconstructed into more complex. I like writing stories like that. Even though the theme can be considered for young children, it goes deeper than that when you really try to analyze them. Good luck with being published ^_^

What stories in particular are you thinking of? They sound interesting. I agree that many stories these days seem to be very linear. That seems to be the way people like them. Something with more dimensions would be interesting though.

Like you, I also like to write children stories. I have done some stories before but I just left it out in our hometown. I am currently thinking of getting it there and compiling it once more. I want to pursue this passion of mine. I want my children, especially, to read the stories that I've made.

I also love writing children's stories, but I'm more interested in older kids, mainly the 9-12 age. I would like to maybe do a few picture books. I'm also not published for much of the same reason as you, but also writer's block and not finishing things.
