Bragging about my baby

I just wanted to take a minute to brag on my little guy. He is only four months and is learning so fast. My husband bought me the What to Expect: The First Year and I was reading through the 4 month old section. Everything that was described that a baby will start to do in the fourth month, he has been doing for a month or so. I'm so proud of him. He can sit and stand up with only a little support from me or my husband. He has learned that there is a time to play with mommy and daddy and a time to play by himself. And he is such a well-behaved baby. Hardly ever cries. The only cries I hear are when he needs something and of course that is the only way for him to communicate.
It is time for everyone else to brag on their children. Share your stories and experiences.

This is wonderful talk to others about your own children instead of having to listen to others brag without getting a word in on the discussion about your own child. I would love to brag about my daughter with others who love to brag. My daughter is 3 years old, just turned 3 in January and she started pre-school 2 months before that. She catches on so quickly. I know that everyone thinks thier kids are the smartest and they probably are, that is our right as bragging parents to believe that our children really are the best. So just a thought, does anyone have young children that they can predict just from characteristics what they will be when they get older. I think my daughter will be a wonderful dancer because she has great rhythm already. I would like to hear your thoughts.

i think you can predict from their characteristics what they will become as my son as a toddler was extremely curious about everything. He would pick up a leaf and really examine it. and he was very precise in arranging his toys and asked a zillion questions also he learned to read before kindergarten and was always several years ahead in reading. and he excelled in school in all science classes so when he grew up it did not surprise me that he became a computer programmer and a compute nerd who could fix anything on his computer.

That is so great. It sounds like your daughter is so smart. I know you are really proud of her. I can't quite predict what my son will be when he gets older just yet but I know he will live life to the fullest because he is such a happy little guy. Always smiling and laughing.

congratulations they are so much fun at that age and learn so fast its amazing I remember that my son was only nine months old and was walking. I have a picture of him running after a leaf and examining it ever so careful.I thought then that he was a special baby and already had a scientific bent. and so he did. He was taking junior college courses while he was in the sixth grade and was already learning to program a computer so guess what He is now a computer programmer and computer nerd par excellence; thats my brag for the day

I can feel the love you have for your child, isn't it wonderful. I have 3 boys, I am proud of each and every one. The oldest Has CP. and didn't walk until he had just turned 2 years old. but has done so well. My second child Is 20 mo. younger and there was no keeping him down. My sister said God gave Him to me to help me with my oldest. Because when he started moving around my oldest wanted to do the same. That's when he started to walk. The second child crawled at 5 mo. and walked at 7 mo. He did everything early. My third started walking just after turning 8 mo. old. It didn't seem like hey stayed babies long enough. Every child has their own time table for doing things. Mom said I didn't walk till I was a year old.

Thanks! This four months have already gone by so fast so I'm taking in every little second.
That is so great about your children. I can tell you are so proud of them. I bet it feels wonderful watching your children grow up to be such a success.
And I don't care how old my son gets, he will always be my baby. So your teens definitely count as your babies!

Its naturall to brag about your children no matter what age they are, I also have a little boy of 4 months and I can tell you now that your's sounds like he is doing alot more than mine, however I love to tell everyone when he has done something new. So ok it might not be very exciting for them but it's naturall for you to want to shout from the roof tops about the things your child has done and thats because we are proud parents and I know this will continue threw the rest of his life.

I love the age of 4 months as the child seems to become a person that does not just sit and watch the world go by but wants to start doing things in the world and it's brilliant to watch as you created that person.
Happy bragging anyway, i think it's great to hear what others are up to.

My daughter is one of those babies that does everything early as well. She crawled at 5 months and walked at 8 months. She is now 13 months old and runs like a maniac through the house. She has recently started to associate things in books with things on television or in real life. It is wonderful to see her put a connection between them.

Aww! I agree. I love watching my son explore his surroundings. He will pick up objects like his rattle and just look them over. It looks like he is trying to figure out what it is.
I'm sure my son will be the same way, running through the house like a maniac. LOL
