I was 24 years old when I had my first child. And was still lost on a few things. Just was wondering how old most people are. Lame Question I know but just popped in my head!

I had just turned 23 years old when I had my son and that was four months ago. I know how you feel about being lost but there are other times when it seems like taking care of him comes natural. He is a great baby though and my husband and I are so blessed to have him in our lives.

How did you feel being 36 and having a child? The reason I am asking I am 34 and my husband would love to have another child. Thanks for responds!

I was a few months shy of turning 22. I got pregnant 1 week before my 21st birthday. My second child was not born until a few months before I turned 29.

I was a few weeks away from turning 24 when I had my first child. He was born one month early, so I felt a little bit gypped from my last birthday kid free. lol! (kidding!). I was very lost on many things at that age as well. I hadn't even changed a diaper until he was born!

I am sure that the diaper thing came very natural for you. Thanks for your respond.

I had just turned 18 when I had my first child, it was the last thing I should have done simply because I was still a child myself, I had gone down the wrong path and there was no way back. Once I found out I was pregnant there was no way I was getting rid of the baby as everyone kept telling me to do. I kept him and life has been a struggle but finally the last few years things have become easier and happier. My child is 16 now and every day I look at him I am thankful that I did not listen to those who wanted me to get rid of him, as he is a great kid and so far has been no trouble whatsoever.

I don't think it's a lame question at all! I married late, at 34, got pregnant right away and gave birth via emergency c section at 35 years of age. I'm now 37 and we're hoping for another child before I hit 40. Even if I was already an older mom and a doctor, I was also pretty lost when I had my firstborn. It's like an on the job training.

Yes it is an on the job training. My husband wants me to have another baby. I am 34 he tells me I am still young. LOL, But alot of people do not even start having there babies until they are in the mid 30's. Thanks for responding?

I was eighteen years old when my first child was born. Luckily I grew up fast and was able to take on the responsibility of raising a child while continuing my education!

I was 18. I graduated High School in May and had my first daughter in August of the same year. While being pregnant with her I also held 3 part time jobs to save up for diapers and wipes, plus clothes, and anything else that came up. I'm sure if I had it all to do again I would prefer to keep the children I have but wait until after I was done with college. I have tried going back 2 times since having children and find it very complicated to do so and end up giving up because I have to be a mom.

That was a very smart thing you did. I know it had to be hard. But god Bless you, you did what a mother should do. Hey you will still have time. Kids take up alot of it.

I was 18 when I became pregnant and I am 19 now. I just had him 2 months ago. By c-section, not my choice, but it was either lose him or go with it. So I'd rather be safer than sorry.

I had my first born 7 months after my 19th bday. I had started college just before I found out I was preggers. MY clinicals were due on the 26th of October. I was having stomach pains so i went to the dr. He said my due date was Oct. 26th so I decided to quit school. LOL I don't regret it though, he's a blessing!!

I was 23 when I had my first and I had a very domoneering mother-in-law who just seemed to make me feel useless at what I was doing with comments like 'oh you don't put a nappy on like that' or 'are you sure she is getting enough milk, at least with a bottle you can tell how much she is having' Grrrrr my next child was age 28 and I was aliitle less timid and more worldly wise and she just got told to get out of my business and I felt a lot more confident and my last child I had when I was 40 and I felt like a first time mum again as the gap was so large, but just done everything by gut feeling and didn;t listen to others. If I had to choose an age it would be late twenties for me if I was to start again and no big gaps, but my mum had me at sixteen and loved the fact that myself and brother were grown up and she was still so young and able to go out and really enjoy herself. Personal choice I think. Ellie :D

I was 23 at that time and was still concentrating on lovelife and all. But Im glad and did not regret all that as I realize how young i was still then, I look at my son now and gosh, Im so glad I have him now! He is the center of my life and glad I have brought him to be a good person that he is - the most gentle guy in his class as his teachers always tell me! God's Blessing!
