Playstation 3 or X-Box 360?

Although I don't use or don't have either Sony Playstation 3 or X-box 360, i think Sony Playstation 3 is better than X-box 360. Playstation 3 has the blu-ray capabilities which makes it better than x-box 360 which supports hd-dvd, which is also been eliminated in the dvd war. blu-ray won. hd-dvd lost. microsoft even stop making the drives that support hd-dvds. if i were you, don't buy any hd-players because there won't be any dvds produced for that player.

erm. I don't know if you know this but...THE XBOX 360 AND PS3 ARE PRIMARILY GAMING MACHINES!!!
Yes, blu-ray is nice (and I suppose HD-dvd could have been too) but those are extra features. You don't say that a GAMING system is better because of its extras.
That'd be like me saying that a jeep is better than a ferarri because they usually come with more extra stuff.
Let me lecture you a bit:
Extra-player: PS3 (like you said)
Gameplay: XBOX 360. More games means more choices which means more chances of great games.
Online: XBOX 360. The system is simply better.
Price: XBOX 360. A big factor
Level Range: XBOX 360. Hardcore and softcore gamers can relish because of wide content.
Grahics: PS3 hands down.
Backwards Compatibility: PS3
Which is the "better" console? XBOX 360
which is the better all-in-one package? PS3

Like i said, i don't own any of these stuff but what i based my opinion on is from their abilities to play the two dvd formats.

No one says you have to play online.
One factor isn't a good enough reason to say a console is better.
Both consoles are best at what they aim to be. You can't compare them and say one is better; They're just too different in their goals. One is about full gaming, the other one is about media immersion.

in simple words it is plasystation!. playstation for me because it's user-friendly than of the x box 360.. besides x box 360 is just new in the game industry while playstation is longer..

PS3 for me simply because ive been a sony man since PS2 , i was almost coming to the other side for just GTA 4 on the 360 but now since GTA 4 is on both systems ill get the PS3 , and yes they did smash the HD DVD toshiba to bits , sadly very , i actually went to Best Buy and the Rows of Movies for BluRay were outstanding

I dont have much experience in either of them really. I have played both from different friends that have had them and I liked to XBox 360 better. But like I said I dont really know. Im basing it on just the games that I played at that time and the quality.
