Ok a little late in regards to this movie, but dear god I am officially obsessed with this movie! Daniel Day Lewis was terrific in his role as daniel plainview. I for the life of me don't know why paul dano was ignored by the oscars. He did a terrific job as well. Many people complained the movie was too long, but I thought it was perfect. I was not really that fond of the child actors playing daniels son. He seemed very wooden to me. All in all it was a great film. I won't be able to look at a milkshake without thinking of this movie! lol

Absolutely. Great movie. Daniel Day Lewis was like a force of nature. I was also surprised Paul Dano didn't get nominated for best supporting actor. A truly hypnotizing, bizarre, surreal work of art. For a laugh I recommend David Spade's parody of it called "There Will Be Oscar". Pretty funny stuff.

Hee Hee I saw that. When he said (something along the lines of) "I didn't work for six months just to get a spirit award no" lol or the "so Johnny Depp can sing who gives a F***
I swear I am becoming obsessed with Daniel Day Lewis. I have caught some interviews of his in the past and dear god if the man is not humble. Not to mention hot sweet mother of christ! I swear one of these days I am going to dedicate a whole section of my blog just for him! lol

Hi Lilly Rose
Daniel Day Lewis There Will Be BLood.........very good movie! He was superb as usual of course that is to be expected of MR. MY LEFT FOOT in which he won the Oscar for and rightfully so that was yet another great movie,
I must say I really had to follow the movie in some scenes or it would have lsot me.But yes he was a ruthless oil baron and they way he used that little boy to attract people to him I think he did care for the boy at one time but when he grew up and wanted to go on his own he just humiliated the heck out of him. Calling him a boy in a basket over and over again and telling me that he was not part of him he only used him to gather buyers for his business. (that scene was one of my favorite because the boy held his own and signed to him I am glad I have nothing of you in me) aslo another one was the false profit that guy was strange, the ending was really good when he yet again humiliated the false profit buy having him say he was a fake and God was a superstition. But then when he tryed to bowl the guy over and then chased him with the club and beat him I was like what? I wasn't expecting that I thought he was just trying to scare him but I should have known better because he did kill the guy who tried to pass himself off as his long lost brother.
