I'm seriously thinking about starting up my own web site. I've been doing a lot of research and I just wanted some feedback on this. I think I am going to go with 1&1 Linux Hosting as my hosting service. I was also considering Bluehost or Web Hero.
I'm a newbie at all this and there is so much information out there. Has anyone had any success with any of these web hosts? Also any good tips on starting up an internet business? I guess I could sign up for some good affiliate programs. Any comments would be greatly welcomed.

The 1&1 Linux/Microsoft Hosting (for the second step up) is $4.95/mo, first three months free, two free domain names. This is when you sign up for a year of service. I liked their demo. It was simple and easy for me to use. The blue host demo looked good but too advanced for me. As for the last part of your question, I'm not well versed in the internet lingo yet. I'm looking for something that I don't have to know the html stuff just yet. Reading up on info about meta-tabs right now.
I'm thinking I want my site to be like me. Diverse. A hodge podge of info. Politics, Natural Cures, Music, Blogs, and I'm going to join some affiliate programs to earn a little extra cash on the side.
