Shocking? Nay, not really... Considered BN's years of horrible performances, they should be thankful for able to keep more than 50% of seats in this election! The BN bullied the other minorities in the Parliament make everyone realize they need to put more oppositions into the Parliament to stop BN from bullying the minorities' representatives.
Another reason of the lost is BN show their racism openly toward a minority groups of population (Hindu) since the last couple months before the election, alert the other minority groups (Chinese) to fight for equalities. BN make a lot of irrational decisions such as: blasted the Hindus' temple & assaulted the peaceful rally with children holding flowers (a.k.a. Rose Rally) with water cannon & teargas showed BN fearless & disrespect toward the minorities.
Also, the Hindus & Chinese are concern about their children's education will be stripped away. Thus, the minorities have to stand up to protect their children's future. There were about 48+ Chinese primary schools & 144+ Indian primary schools closed down since 1960's... But the numbers of Malay primary schools were increased by 2637+! How could this happened? The answer is: We don't have enough oppositions in the Parliament to defended & protected the minorities' rights & interests! We need more oppositions to work for the minorities & to halt BN from doing horrible things like destroying religious temples, closed down schools for no good reason, assault the peaceful demonstrators, eliminate the right of Free Speech... etc.
