Luck and fortune favor only a few no matter how hard you try to bring in the same all for yourself. Why does the God of luck or that of fortune choose only a few to be bestowed with success all the time in their life? Haven't you noticed instances wherein fortune favor the undeserved? What explanation could one derive for this unusual phenomenon in human existence?

I think we should not be concentrating on luck, or no luck just make the best life we can make for ourselves based on our personal situations.

It is clear that you believe in luck and that is fine, but you have to understand that not everyone does,
I don't whatever we get we got because we earned it or it was given to us by someone else but the concept of good luck is just a superstition.

Wouldn't one get disheartened when one is denied the desired gain just for lack of good luck failing to dawn on him?

I am not sure either. I have always wandered this also. It seems that some people do not have to do anything and they get all of the fame and fortune handed to them on a silver platter. Some of us work our rearend off and get very little.

Strange are the ways of the indomitable fate or destiny to which we are exposed to.

Yes. It is very starnge that some people live a very good life and some live a moderate life and there are some who just never get to enjoy life at all because it is just a fight to survive.

Luck has nothing to do with it.
People make their own luck.
The smarter you are... the luckier you are.
The richer you are... the luckier you become.
If a very poor person wins a million dollars... within four years... that person will have spend the whole lot and will be poor again.

It is always the case. The undeserved seems to get favoured. I attribute it to the karmic law of cause and effects. The time is not yet ripe for those who wished to be bestowed fortunes. As for the undeserved, it might appear so in the eyes of us. They could have done good deeds to merit the good fortune. However, if they bask in their good fortune and forget to accumulate more merits, the fortune might dwindle and he may lose what he has gotten.

I do not uphold the karmic interpretation of past or present deeds. I believe in destiny which holds good things for some and real bad events for some others.

In my observation, most people associate luck and fortune with wealth and riches. People always say that a certain person is lucky or fortunate because he has lots of money. Yes, it is true that luck and fortune is not for everybody. But let's imagine this...what would happen then if all of our wishes were granted...say we all became rich...we all got what we wanted in life. What would our lives be? What would happen to all of us? Do you think it will solve all the other problems we have?
It may seem unfair to us, that fortune favors the "undeserving", but let us not forget that "Money is the root of all evil". So therefore, those "undeservings" are evil. And not all people in this world are evil. I believe that there is goodness in every person's heart.
Our God, the God of luck and fortune is all-knowing. He
knows what is good and best for all of us. He is always fair in His decisions and judgements. We may ask..."if He is fair...then why am I still poor? why am I not rich? why do I have to work a lot? why is He not granting all of my wishes?" I would say, God loves us all. Don't keep on grudging but instead count your blessings. You may not be as rich as the others but you are loved by everyone. You may not be as bountiful as the others but you are strong and healthy. You may not be as good looking as the others but your inner self glows, making you more beautiful in the eyes of God.
God will not give us any trials we cannot handle. Trials make us closer to God and trials make us stronger and better persons.

Napoleon Hill, author of the best-seller "Think and Grow Rich" says that the few people who always seem to have good luck and fortune don't receive it by chance. They receive these favorable circumstances by thinking positively and focusing their mind towards these circumstances. They attract "good fortune" because they are positive people that expect good things to happen to them.
Everyone who wants to tap into "good luck" should read this book, it shows you exactly how to do so.

Human have to think positively and be generous to entice luck in their lives. Luck does not choose the recipient, it strikes to whoever who has done many godly services in this planet. Besides we should always visualize luck and luck will someday knock in us. You may never know one day you will strike the jackpot.

Hi sukumar794,
In my opinion deserved and undeserved it self is decided by god - we as a humanbeing cannot say someone as deserved or undeserved because it is not possible for us to know totally about any person. But I can tell you one thing - that is god favours everybody who put in his efforts sincerely in what he does and I am most experienced in this - I have been under struggle for number of years and luck or fortune din't favored me - but the favour came to me in a different way that is through my children - I stuggled a lot to educate them, became financially a debt oriented person but after that my children were strongly placed and they have relieved me from my debts.
Good Luck.

This is so true of my life Sukmar! Although I have to admit that I am fairly lucky sometimes - but I believe that that is only because I have faith that everything happens for a reason. I like to think that even though I am not one of those few that has been bestowed with success, there is something good waiting for me simply because I live my life honestly and without envy of others.

I agree with you, that some people have all the luck in the world. My youngest sister is one of them. Everything she does or touches turns to gold. She has never had a problem with money, ever, and doesn't know what it is like to do without. She has had luck in her health as well and has never had to have any surgeries or has ever gotten sick other than a cold now and then. She has luck in winning money, when she buys a ticket for anything she constantly wins something. She owns her own hairdressing shop and making a lot of money with it. She has two boys and they are really good boys, she never has any problems with them. Just every way that luck can come here way, it does.
I am the most unlucky person born. I never win anything, I have poor health and have had 13 surgeries in my life time.I can't work because of nmy bad health so I never have any money.
