I need some help

Hi, I have been given a replicating website from the company I work from home with. It has a long url. I have used some URL shortening services, which I don't like because of the xrl.us in front of my name. I am curious about getting a domain name. I know this might be a stupid question... Let's say I buy a domain name. Is there a way to link my other site and long URL to this new domain name? I hope that question makes sense...thanks for your help!

Well if I get it right, you have a website and you want to know are you able to purchase a domain and link it to your site? If that is the case, then yes, you can have that old long one, and that new one linked to your website. Just contact your server admin and ask how to do it properly on that server.
