This is a great site where you can post what you need, and if people have what you need and were planning on throwing it away, you can pick it up for FREE. Or if YOU had something you wanted to throw away, but is still usable, you can post it, people who need it can pick it up. It is a great way to get rid of stuff you no longer need. If you don't care to make a profit, or are too lazy to have a garage sale.. its perfect! I have given away a perfectly working microwave (we were given brand new one), a refrigerator, clothes my kids had grown out of, shoes that I got from a freecycler but didn't like... whatever. It is a great way to keep stuff out of the landfills. As long as the item is usable.. you obviously don't want to post something that is completely trashed, you have provided something to someone who may not be able to afford a new one! At yahoo.. type in freecycle, then your city.. start and start posting. You want to be able to post more "offers" than you post "wanteds" otherwise, peole will start to think you are just greedy. Check it out!

Yes, I am on freecycle for my county and have gotten and given some neat things! Great way to exchange things you dont need and get items you do!

I heard about that program through my brother. I uses it a lot to get things he needs and get rid of things he doesn't use anymore. He seems to like it a lot. Apparently he has received some really useful items from there. I never thought to check it out for myself...maybe I should!

freecycle is great for giving away kids playhouses that they are too tall to use anymore!
