I just made these for breakfast this morning, and thought I would share this recipe.
Make whole wheat pancakes from a mix, using the recipe on the box. Add banana slices, fresh blueberries and chopped walnuts. Cook according to the directions on the box. They may take a bit longer to cook because the bananas make them alot more moist.
These are exceptionally good and very, very filling. The fruit and walnuts add health fats, vitamins and anti-oxidents.

Well.... I do add maple syrup on top of them. The flavor goes really well with these pancakes. I use real syrup though, not that sugary fake stuff. Real maple syrup has less calories than sugar, and contains zinc and maganese.
Thank you for responding!

I have gone to places to tap my own syrup here in Minnesota in the past. If you've never tapped a tree it is an educational and fun time.

Being a cook I made a new recipe for the restaraunt I had worked. I can't reveal it here but I'll just say I added a tasty spice you would not think to be in pancakes. The day I made this batch for the restaraunt the customers really layed the compliments on the owner asking what he did to his regular cakes to make them taste SO much better. he then asked me and I stated what I did and he told me I am the pancake batter maker from now on. I should have asked for a cut of the profits?
