Did you go to your SR, Jr or any other Prom? Who did you go with if you did?

I went to 2 proms...one was a sophmore prom and since I wasn't dating yet I went with a group of girls who weren't dating yet either. Back then girls danced with girls...only fast dances of course...lol and we sat out the slow ones. The boys who were there danced with their dates or sat on the sidelines like the rest of us. I went to my high school Sr. Prom with my soon to be husband and my family made a big deal of it. That was the first time I had my eyebrows plucked...lol. My best friend with my boyfriends best friend and she and I wore identical dresses of different colors. Mine was pink and hers was blue. The next day we went to a local zoo for the day and had a picnic...in the rain! It's a time I'll never forget.
Did you go to any proms? Who did you go with and do you remember what you wore and how it went?

Yes I went to one school prom and was asked by a nice young man LOL actually instead of going with him we went together in a group, with our neighborhood friends and took pictures before we left. It wasn't a good day for me because for some stupid reason I went and got a haircut for the first time and it turned out horrible. Oh well I still went and had a fun time with my friends. We danced and ate and then danced more.
My mom's aunt made my dress out of satin and it was pink (which I hate LOL) Yuck I didn't really like it but then again I didn't really care as long as I got to go LOL

As far as I was concerned my hair was the best part of it. I went to the hairdressers early that morning and had a gorgeous up do with a lot of curls and loved it. I was so "underdeveloped" at that time that although I like the dress it looked horrible on top! Very flat if you know what I mean.

I went to both my Jr and Sr. proms because I was forced into it. My parents and friends said "you'll regret it if you don't" and really, I don't think I would.
I went to my Jr. Prom with my brothers girlfriend at the time. It was a joke. She said that I had to ask someone or she was gonna make me go with my brother. I said fine... then will you go with me? and so we went to prom together. It was all in good fun. Basically we dressed up and hung out. We did get prom photos but never danced. I wore a long black skirt with a black and silver corset. She wore a silver dress. Afterwards we picked up my brother and went to taco bell.
My Sr. Prom I really wanted to ask my best friend Stan but because his ex girlfriend would be there... I didn't. It's a long story. I just didn't want to have to deal with her and I didn't want him to have to deal with her. So instead I just went with a friend of my brothers. He liked me though and it was awkward cause I didn't like him that way. If you have ever seen the movie Titanic and remember the dress that Rose was wearing in the beginning of the movie when she wanted to jump off the boat and kill herself...that's exactly what my dress looked like. It was red and black. Afterwards we went back home and picked up my brother and 3 of his friends. My prom date had changed his clothes though and I was still all dressed up when we went to TGIFridays where 90% of the people at my Prom were also having dinner. So here I was all dressed up having dinner with 5 guys. My classmates never understood me :p
While I enjoyed my proms for what they were, I wouldn't have regreted not going....The only thing I wish was that I would have been able to go with my best friend. It just would have been one more good memory that I could have him since he passed away.

I do have one small regret. There really was another guy I would rather have gone to my Sr. Prom with but that's a long story too!

I went to to my sophmore prom and wore a borrowed dress. My junior year I wore a green long dress with elbow length gloves..and I was mistress of ceremony as I was the class President.....my senior year I went to two proms. My own and with a guy I was dating to his school prom. I wore a light blue satin dress with a full skirt that had two can can's under it....I felt like a princess! I had a great time at all of them! LOL....

I did not go to the prom even though the high school I had certainly had one. I went to a military school in England, but I was going out with a British boy the entire time I attended High School. Therefore, I didn't hang out as much with those from my school as I did with my boyfriend and his friends. I didn't got to dances or get my ring or any of the normal things that one does during high school. Am I sad that I didn't, looking back on it? No, you can't miss what you don't know.

You're right...you can't miss what you don't know. Neither of my daughters graduated from HS so neither of them went to any proms...which does make me feel bad but they don't. My son on the other hand didn't graduate from HS either and went to 6 proms with 6 different girls...lol...I have loads of prom pictures with him in them.

Yup, I did go to my junior and senior prom. Our class advisor was the one who partner us to the senior so everyone would have a date. Well, my partners were cute and great! hehehe... they are gentlemen so I really enjoyed it a lot.. Nice memory in highschool!

I went to prom last year with a guy (friend) in his senior year.. It was pretty amazing. I had on this little black and white strapless dress. :) we danced and he hated it!
This year I plan on going with my boyfriend. I'm pretty excited because I loooove dress shopping. It's way too much fun. And I'm hoping it'll be amazing. Better than last years!

Yes I went to a few proms and a few balls too. The proms I went with a date, the first one my dress was blue and the others my dress was yellow and pink. We had a wonderful time. The first prom his parents took us out to eat after the prom. We were so young.

I went to one prom and it was very beuatifull. But i think we have a it a little bit different how you guys here in usa. You don't need invite any boy, becuase we are like a class and you just bring your parents and sister or brother if you want. i remember this day very good , i had green long dress with silver little stones on it. It wasn't how I wanted it, but it wasn't bad and that evening wasn't about dress, but about fun and all the memories I have today.

I was not big into dances when I was in high school. I did go to Homecoming and my Senior Prom. It wasn't a big deal to me at all. I found it sort of boring. The only reason I went was because I didn't want to regret it later. I went to both dances with my boyfriend (ex-husband). I wore a black dress to homecoming and a cream colored dress to Prom. Both dresses came to just above the knee.
I remember being mad at my parents because all of my friends had permission to stay out all night but I had to be home by 2 am.

I went to my JR prom, I wound up going alone because the girl was seriously ill, and I had spent quite abit of money on the suit rental, and everything else. I looked kinda sad just wandering around with out my girlfriend, but I decided with all the money I spent I was not going to miss it.

We didn't have sophomore proms at the school I attended. But I didn't go to ether the Jr or senior prom since I didn't have a boy friend or date much at the time. My cousin's church didn't believe in dancing so they put on a program for their teens. I went to their program with them. We dressed up as if we were going to the prom and they had games instead of the dancing.

I went to a Junior-Senior Prom two times already. The first time when I was a Junior (a Third Year) and the second time was just held last Saturday, March 8, at a very prestigious hotel here in the Philippines, Dusit Hotel Nikko. Last year, our Prom was held in Shangri-La Hotel Ortigas, another great hotel. It was good since we felt like princesses in our evening gowns and gorgeous faces. Don't even mention our partners. :)

In our 3rd year of high school I didn't attend the prom. There was a lot of confusion. My crush was supposed to be my dance partner but then her boyfriend came back from abroad and that screwed everything up.
In our 4th year we didn't have a prom. The school was worried that a lot of girls would get pregnant. As a substitute we did have a "candlelight ceremony" though. There was dancing and it was fun.

We had a Jr. Prom and a Senior Banquet at my school. I went by myself both times. First year you could go if you didn't have a date, so our school made history.
I wore a flowered, chest enhansing dress for the Prom and a light blue dress for the Banquet. Both times were nice.
Guys that went by themselves asked me to dance. My friends all had dates.

I didnt go to either one. I wish I did but at that time I just didnt care. Looking back I wish I would have thought about it being a good senior memory. I prob would have went with my bf at the time which I dont care for today, so maybe it wouldnt have been a great memory after all. But I wish I could have still went with friends or something.

I attended both proms as a junior and a senior. I lived in a very small town and with an even smaller high school. My junior year I attended prom with my best girl friend from the time I was a child. I don't think we even danced together once. The senior prom I showed up to about half way through with and showed up with my best friend. Neither one of us had dates because we were gone to a recruiting visit to play basketball next year in college. After we showed up we danced with the girls from class and just goofed off with everyone else. I really never saw the big deal with prom and I guess that is because I never had a serious girlfriend during the high school years.
