Are you making your own chocolates for Easter or are you buying them?

I know some of you make your own and some of you buy them. I will be buying mine, but someday I hope to make my own. Is it hard to get started? Do you need lots of equipment or money? What kind of chocolates do you make or buy for Easter?

I have always bought my chocolates, but I guess if you want to make your own, all you will need is baking chocolate and molds.. I have a friend who makes chocolate for special occasions and that is all she uses..

My friend also makes the lollipops and the funny thing is, her family doesn't eat much sweets..I think she does this for when we come over, especially my son, he is such a charmer, she probably makes these for him because he is always asking her for candy..lol

I am buying a few little things for my kids. I have been making my own toffee and selling it the last few months, so I will be making some of it for family for Easter. I also bought some chocolate flavoring and I am going to make some truffles.

I used to make my own chocolates but have become lazy and too busy to do it these days. It is pretty easy though depending on which type of chocolates you want to make. They sell chocolate molds and you just melt down melting chocolate and put it in the mold and put in your fondant cream filling of whatever you want to fill it with then top it off with a layer of chocolate and let them set. When they are hard you plop them out and eat! Maybe I should get motivated again, they were really good.

I have loads of recipes I have picked up along the way of my life of how to make chocolate treats, not making chocolate from scratch but using melted chocolate and stuff, and I always think how nice it would be to try some of the recipes out and makes chocolate easter gifts of my own. But I just dont get the time or chance at the moment I am so busy, so I just go out and buy everyone easter eggs, mind you theres some good deals about on easter eggs at the minute so it doesnt work out too expensive.
