Music on my Mind

I have found myself getting caught up in the music from television shows that speaks to me in ways that I can't explain. There are songs that I have heard in the past that I forget about that all of sudden come back to the forefront of my mind and get obsessed by listening to it nonstop again. This happened the other night when I heard the song "Hallelujah" performed on American Idol. I had heard the song in the past and fell in love with the haunting melodies of it. Hearing it that night again brought a flood of joy back over me like the first time I heard it. New music seemed to be hard to find because with the invention of the Ipod I have found myself addicted to listening to it nonstop with all the music I already have. I have Sirius Satellite Radio as well and I can't bring myself to listen to it because I know with my Ipod I have everything that I like and don't have to suffer through songs I don't like. Thankfully, through the process of watching television I have found new music and sometimes old music that I like from the shows and commercials. This has opened my eyes to the possibilities of music that drives who I am and takes me to places that nothing else can. I hope others feel the same when a song touches you beyond what regualr life can.

I've been known to listen to songs over and over again obsessively! :) My last one was Bubbly by Colbie Caillat, and I figured it was because it was very soothing. Listening to it also lulls me into believing that my boyfriend is nearby even if he isn't. :) This topic made me think about buying an IPod again for the first in a long time. Thanks!

I must admit that song got caught up in my head as well and made me very happy everytime I heard it. It is awesome the way music can bring up somewhere else, comfort you, or make you think about something that you haven't thought about it in a long time.
