So, I really am not looking to stir up a bunch of hate posts here but, I feel I need to mention this. The premiere for "Horton Hears a Who" which stars Steve Carell and Jim Carrey in an animated children's movie, brought Pro-lifers who were using the motto of the movie to protest abortion. The motto is "After all, a person is a person, no matter how small." This was a premiere for a children's movie for Christ's sake! Take a page from your own book and get a life! This movie isn't about abortion or fetal rights. It is a silly cartoon movie about a giant elephant named Horton and one of the Grinch's Who's from Whoville! What part of that has anything to do with abortion? Again, I am not trying to open the flood gates of ridicule here. I just feel like some people take their opinions on issues a little too far and this was one of those times!

I am sorry Ravenladyj! I am not kidding you! They did do that! And, you got that right, but "sick and twisted" doesn't even begin to describe it! I am all for them expressing their views in a controlled and polite, conversational/debating fashion but, all this protesting in places that they choose is just too much. We are all entitled to our opinions and we are all entitled to voice our opinions but, in a calm, cool and collected fashion and in proper settings. Do they curse in church? Why would they protest abortion at a children's premiere? Sheesh! They preach morals but, where are theirs?

LOL! That is a good point! They took the innocence right out of a movie by the author of kids' stories. I can't even come up with a way to say what I am thinking about it. I grew up with Dr. Seuss, as did my parents...I think. How could you take his writing and rearrange it to fit hate? And, at the core of it, the debate between Pro-lifers and Pro-choicers is fueled first and foremost by hate. What kind of person does that?

You are right cortjo73. some peoples thought process is non existant. What I really dont like is when these protesters claim to be christian but me being a christian I know that we are not suppose to tell people what to do or judge them. People have the right to do what ever they want with THERE bodies.

Exactly! How is being Christian an excuse for bad behavior and bossing people around? They have a holier than thou attitude but, they stomp their feet on this issue at a place where the target audience is children who don't understand this issue yet! I am pro-choice, so, I believe that it is their right to feel the way they do and to CHOOSE to disagree with abortion. I do not think it is their right to tell everyone else what to do with their own bodies though. That is what being pro-choice is all about. You don't see us getting in everyone elses faces trying to push our beliefs on others because, we believe in the sanctity of decision. And, we would never push our beliefs at an event that is aimed at an audience who may not even know how to spell the word abortion, much less even know that word exists yet! Sheesh! Someone get these people a brain. Beg, borrow, or steal one for them. Do whatever ya gotta do! Just get it done!
