Where is Spring?

It's already arrived in the UK thankfully, the flowers think it's spring and with the sun shining in you'd be fooled into thinking Spring had arrived early. But to me it's not proper spring until April 1st, you know the saying ma, March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb. I will be glad when April arrives because I have my beloved retreat to go to and it signals the end of my SAD which I suffer January to March, I hate the first three months of the year and lets hope we have some much better weather, sending the sun to you and hugs too xxxx

Spring, Ahhh what a happy sound. We have about 7 inches of snow on the ground. I agree Spring......come onnnnnnnnnnn

I was just saying the opposite her today , It was really cold and it was pouring rain and sleet bordering on snow , but the daffodils are out and the snowdrops and crocus , we even noticed blossoms on the trees , so I felt today that spring had come xx

I really do not know I wish it would hurry up and get here I really do then Gissi and me could go to the Field again It is to cold to stay outside with him for long And I am sure that is why he is so full of Mischief all the time His latest is Barking when I am on the Phone and I mean every time you ask Mo she will tell you how naughty he is right now Big Hugs to you xxxxx

I have a little bit of it here, for now. I do not know for how long, but it is nice today and tomorrow and Tuesday for sure. I hope you get some nice weather soon. I went out to my yard and the Star of Bethlehem plants are up.Green glossy straight blades sticking up.

Last winter here in Ireland was so mild,there were Lambs born unseasonally early,Duck and other chicks in December,and spring flowers blooming in January...this year seems more conventional with wintry cold January and now March like in the proverb,"Coming in like a Lion..." hopefully going out like a Lamb :)

Sorry your weather is horrible, I know how you feel after 5 years in that ice mess. I packed up and head South have not being back since.

Yeah and we have blizzards forecast! lol I know that Easter is earlier this year but when I was little it was always warm at Easter time - here we are a few weeks away and blizzards are forecast! It had better be nicer as I have bought Niamh a new Easter outfit and I don't want to hide it under a big bulky coat! xxx

I'm with you on this one... Come on Spring!!! At least it was sunny today. Cold, and mountains of snow outside, but at least the sun was shining (still is, at 6:07, thanks to Daylight Savings Time).

Spring has long passed for me,and in fact it is just the start of Autumn here. In fact, the Summer that has passed has hardly even been hot for the first time in ages. There were probably more rainy days than sunny days down here in Australia.

ahhh! patience! lol! it's funny, usually I'm the one without patience and I'm telling you to have it! lol! Spring will be here before ya know it.. this is winter's way of saying goodbye and don't forget me! lol! when it's 100 degrees this summer.. you know we will miss the snow! lol!

Hi Raydene I was beginning to wonder myself, here in the UK in my area we are on severe flood alert and have 80mph winds due along with high spring tides. Apparently we haven't experineced this type of storm since 1981. Only yesterday I was looking at all the daffodils that were already out here and thinking Spring had arrived! Today we are back into Autumn/Winter weather. I hope you don't get too many more power outs. Ellie :D

I hear you. I wonder where spring is myself. It does seem like its taking forever. My daughters birthday is this week and I was hoping it would come in time for that, but by the looks I dont think its going to ugh. But soon enough. I cant wait!

I am like you it is right around the corner so hurry up Spring, I am tired of the snow, and ice. We just our biggest snow with 14+ inches the last 2 days. YULK!

The reason why speing seems so far away is because it feels like it has been winter for way too long. I bat the endless winter feeling by temporarily moving to Arizona during the winter months. I live in a nice condo down here with a hot tub, and all kinds of neat stuff!!

march is still winter here in montreal canada, it is also a tricky month, sneaky storms etc, we are in the middle of a snowstorm right now.

I hear your pain but as I live in sunny well sometimes California I cannot say thats it chilly as today was about seventy two and sunny no fog for once but we will have June gloom when its foggy and or cloudy most of the day. The spring is just sort of a continuation of the weather we have most of the time but lately we have had more rain than usual. no ice but we do lose power when we have a santa ana wind that rages up to sixty miles an hour at times. sometimes I long for a bit of change in the weather. I grew up in South Dakota.
