What is the most responses you ever had to a discussion you started and what was the title of the discussion? Did you put a lot of thought into the topic heading or was it a spur of the moment thing? Are you discouraged if you get few or no responses? Are you encouraged if you get lots of responses? Do you care either way? Whats the record number? Does anyone know?

My responses have varied between 2 and 47 so far. You need to write a good title which encourages a response, usually in the form of a question. If you look at the top discussions, and those that get into the daily Digest, you can see which topics and interests are more popular. It helps to have a lot of MyLot friends and if you respond to their new discussions, they are more likely to respond to yours.

Yes, I was just thinking about mylot friends and wondering if people put out requests all over the place or pick and choose carefully. So far I have just 4 mylot friends and they all seem to post quite diverse conversations and have a good range of interests. I'm going to follow up those tips and see if I can improve my headings but as I said above, I do wonder if some areas have just been exhausted?
