How pretty is your profile?

I took the time to set up my profile page. I just like designing pages, lol. I didn't find it to difficult, but I'm a person who changes and plays with her profile of many sites often just cause I like to do it so I've kind of had a lot of practice at that sort of thing. I was mad when mylot added that activity sortie because it messed my profile up, lol! But I've gotten it back to my satisfaction now, hehe.

I have the basic skills to navigate my way around a computer, but thats about it! I dont go on my profile page at all, I put some photos on, which I keep meaning to take off because I dont see them and thats the only reason I put them on in the first place. I would not know where to start in personalising my profile page, I cant even figure how to change my avatar, and you know I only know it was called an avatar by being on here! Just one of the many things I have learnt along my journey with myLot. So although I would like to think I will change things eventually though.

The last thing I did to my profile was put the music player on it, mainly because I promote Mylot and when I promote it, the music is attractive to others and will get people to look at my profile (I hope!) I don't think I've changed the pictures from day one! I do get confused about how you change things and as my comment says if it's not broke don't fix it, I am always frightened that if I muck about with it, I will lose everything so I leave it alone!

Even i don't bother about how my profile page looks like.. It is still the same as the first time when i started using mylot an year ago except that i have changed my profile pic.. i find it difficult too to personalise my homepage here at mylot.. Its a little more complicated or i must say its not that user-friendly when it comes to personalizing your profile.. infact i had to ask a fried of mine how to change my profile pic.. I usually get notifications of my discussion being responded or my response being commented through a mail but now i m in a situation where i can't do that either.. I don't revert back to see the responses being commented unless i receive a mail.. But i love spending time here at mylot.. I usually respond to discussions which i find it on my home page..

I didn't work hard with my profile here on myLot, just put in some photos and that's all. I don't care very much it will be popular, interesting or not, the most important that I like how it looks now.

The only thing that I have done on my Profile page, or to be perfectly honest, got someone else to put on for me, is the music to Avenue Q because I was having a discussion with someone that had never heard of it. I pick up all my responses from my Yahoo account although I do check for BRs and responses that I might have missed. Usually about a week late.

In the past i was able to do things to my profile.. now i just can't seem to get it.. i have tried changing my picture.. I have asked around and i can't seem to do it anymore.. It is true that since they changed things in the profiles.. it is harder.. But i like having a pretty profile..

I think about the only thing I've done wiht my profile page is change the colour of the font but thats about it..I never go to it myself so I guess its just not a big deal for me..

I am like you. I rarely even look at my profile page. I did change the colour settings. (I'm pretty limited in my abilities). I also checked it out when myLot made changes. But honestly, I rarely look at it. I was surprised when I saw messages from people on there because I didn't even know that could be done so, needless to say, the messages were old by the time I saw them. I do check in once in awhile now but I'd rather spend my time responding to discussions.

I don't really go to my profile page. Don't pay a lot of attention to it after I set it up originally. In fact I need to go take a look at it and see what the changes are that the site has done. Since they have been doing different things to improve the site.

Mine is simple. It took me a while to get the hang of it though. I managed to add music and I did have pictures but I took them all off. I check it daily because I often converse with a friend through the comments page.

i like you have never bothered with my profile page to make it all pretty or anything. i go thru the discussions thru my email i get so many sent to me that i don't have time to see what my profile looks like or what anyone elses looks like either.

I have been to some really nice profiles on mylot. Mine is not one of them! I have added some stuff but it is kind of boring still, not pretty at all. I have no idea how to make it pretty. I started a discussion a long time ago asking how to do it but only got like two responses and both of them were "I don't know." I don't really look at my own profile either so on the rare occassion that I do, I am always surprised if there is a comment on there. :)

i personalized my profile a little bit, but not as much as i would have liked to ,it was'nt as easy as i thought, but it was'nt that hard either, if i did it and i dont know to much about computers i'm sure you can too ,i did it just to add some color to my back round it looks nicer but like you said it really does'nt make any difference ,i think i did it more because i was bored and had nothing better to do ..

Mine, I kept simple for a long time as the intricacies of adding colors and fonts were too much for me.One day last month as I just was not in a mood to mylot I went and tried my hand in changing the profile page.It looks somewhat OK now atleast to me.

My profile is sad I am unsure on how to update. I see some other Mylotters profile, and I am in awe of how great theirs look.

I fixed my profile only once. And i find it pretty because it's pink ;) I didn't bother to fix my profile nowadays. I'd rather comment on discussions than fix my profile. Now you opened this discussion, I will try to fix and change the look of my profile.LOL

I finally managed -through lots of trial and error, kbourgerie, to lay out my profie page pretty well. Having very little experience with such things, I had to learn from scratch. I do visit my profile page at least a couple of times a week, and I plan to spend even more time there since I've added a music player. I also like to leave comments on my friend's pages and receive them from friends.

My profile page is exactly how it was when I first joined myLot a cople of months ago. Wouldn't know where to start to alter it. I'm not that computer literate really, and it amazes me that so many people on her have there on links and websiters etc. attached to them. I'm not really that bothered. I just enjoy the discussions. I tried but did not get far so just left it as it is. I am not too worried about it anyway as I would rather spend my time reading discussions and finding or trying to find some topic for a discussion that would really interest most people. I cannot come up with things as fast as some posters do because I do not want to feel ashamed of what I start as a discussion and do not want it to be too fluffy or too exotic for most people. So I just did the basics on my profile page. as a newbie I am still finding my way around MYLOt
