Sauteed onions, pepper jack cheese, bacon, ketchup, and mustard. I don't really care what type of bun, I guess, or at least I never thought about it.
I don't bother cooking onions to go on my burgers at home most of the time, so that's kind of a treat for me when I go out somewhere I can get them. My favorite burger to put this specific combination on is a steakburger from a local restaurant that we order out from at work a lot.

No bacon! Ack! :P
Hmmm, I'm used to mustard and ketchup together. I never thought of it as weird. And I love pepper jack on pretty much anything, but it's especially good on burgers.
Maybe I'm trying to be less predictable. Or maybe I'm hungry. Or maybe I just wanted to reply to you. Or all three. :)

Oh, you're sweet, thanks. I love pepper jack cheese, too. I do sneak some bacon into a sandwich now and then. The Alpine Sammies at Quiznos has some, shhhhh, don't tell my Doctor.

That sounds like a good one that I'd like to have now. Most pickles aren't on my diet, but maybe just a small slice. . ..

Interesting combination, never thought of mustard on hamburger, but I've had it with other cuts of beef, so what to heck!

When I order a burger at Harvey's (Canadian burger chain right next door to my apartment!!) I order a cheeseburger with lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, mayo and relish on it. Their burgers are the BEST!

Harvey's is Canadian? No wonder we get the commercials and I never see one here. When I get up to Canada again, I'll have to check them out. Thanks.

i like the big buns with the seeds on top, put my hamburger with 2 slices of cheese, saute onions, tomato and maybe some sautéed mushrooms, some bacon slices and mayo and pickle. I am not a lettuce person, I always take the lettuce they put on my sandwiches off. i don't care for mustard or ketchup on my sandwiches.

If it is a regular hamburger then I like to make it with mayo, ketchup, tomato and onion.
DH always makes great burgers, depending on his mood, we usually always have a different flavor to our burgers.
Sometimes teriyaki so then I just had mustard.

I like onions, lettuce, cheese and meat on my hamburger! That's the fix combination I would have on my burgers. But since I came back from the states, I don't fancy having one. I guess I got really tired of having them there.

Yes, people do get rather stuck on burgers here. A person could get sick of them. That's why I try to eat a variety of things when I eat out.
Good toppings. I like a variety of toppings on mine so I don't get sick of them if I end up at burger places that only do burgers well. Also if we have lots of them at home for some reason. Not possible now. Beef is like 5 bucks a pound.

Another ketchup and mustard, I'd never heard of that before this discussion. Love onions, all kinds, all ways. Thanks

My husband would like your burger because he likes miracle whip, I like regular mayo. Open-faced, I would get into that, without all that extra bread, you can actually taste something. Thanks.

Splitting the food when you go out is good. Most places serve double the amount a person should take in for calories.
Miracle Whip tastes sicky sweet to me. I'd rather half my Mayo. My husband loves Miracle Whip.
Yes, topless buns (we're turning the R-rated) are best. Take care

Hun had a crisis with his diabetes... he's finally starting to pay attention! We're studying his diet together, and Miracle Whip has half the fat on mayo. We've always used it because I like the zingy taste...
I had him take off and study the top piece of a bread roll... its flour, sugar and air, and 2 of those things are bad for him. Now when we go out, we lose the top (bigger) half, cut the burger and stack it... bun on both sides, less bad stuff, still a good, thick burger! And we split a small fry and a salad.

When I'm really hooking it up, I put
ketchup
mustard
mayo
american cheese
fried egg
avocado
tomato
and onion
I like lettuce, but it won't fit with all the other stuff on it!
My boyfriend likes
mushrooms
swiss cheese
ketchup
mayo
lettuce
and tomato
He thinks mustard goes on hotdogs.:) Happy grilling!

Egg and avocado are certainly different. I don't think I've ever heard of those before. I'll have to try swiss cheese and mushrooms, that sounds good, we have those on Philly steaks here, but haven't had on mushrooms. Thanks and take care.

I like my hamburgers with mustard and onion. I prefer cooked onions but can't always get them in certain restaurants. Someimes I like Thousand Island Dressing on my hamburger and nothing else with it. I will eat ketchup once in awhile on a hamburger and also enjoy a nice, juicy cheeseburger plain. Doesn't really matter what kind of bun.

Sounds good!
Ever been to the Thousand Islands? I have and I went to the restaurant that claims to have started the Salad Dressing.
Take care and thanks.

I absolutely love burgers. They are far and away one of my favorite foods to eat. I love every kind of burger you can think of, but I will just list my current favorite right now. I am trying everyone's Black and Blue Burgers these days. I had an incredible one in New Orleans last week. It was a regular bun with a 1/2 pound patty, blue cheese crumbles, blue cheese dressing, lettuce tomatoes, pickles, grilled mushrooms and bacon. Now that I look back on it, that sounds really unhealthy, but I love it just the same.

Well, one really unhealthy, well-chosen meal a week, I think the body can handle, it's continuous that is too much of a stressor. My husband would love this since he loves blue cheese. I have allergies to moldy kinds of things, so I can't chance it. I'm trying to think of a non-moldy version for me. But this is an interesting idea for my husband, I'll have to talk it over with him. Thanks and take care.
