Well wonderful
I have just seen the weather for the first time in Days only to hear that during the early Hours we will be having strong Winds at 80 mile an hour and also heavy Rain
I had been told that it was expected over the weekend and I thought we had got away with it, but it seems not
So I am hopefully going to sleep through it or I will be sitting here scared
If it is still going on tomorrow when I wake up I know I will be sitting on the settee hoping it will go away
The worse is that Gissi and me have to go out in it as Gissi has to go to the Toilet so I guess we will both not be impressed with it
If you see someone flying past your Window with a little Dog do not worry it will only be me
I shall wave as I pass ok

Gabs you are going to get to be all of our favorite fictional flying women. Dorothy, Mary, and how about Wonder Woman, just to round things out! It is a new day here in the states, we are waiting to hear how you did.

Now are you sure that you and Gissi are not looking forward to playing out a part from the Wizard of OZ? lol We had winds of that speed the other week and it has rained non stop for weeks! Yout think wind and rain is bad they are forecasting blizzards for us! lol Having said that I don't have a lot of faith in the weather forecast so I won't worry.......YET! xxx

I hate to have to break this to you, my dear friend, but you'd best try and get used to it, because that weather is forecast to be here for three days, or until Tuesday, at least.
Stay Cool... Brightest Blessings. xxxx

I live in England too, and when I heard the weather reports I was pretty scared too, I hate wind. They said that it was expected to hit after midnight and so I stayed up til midnight but nothing happened so I thought I would just go to bed. I got up this morning expecting the worst and it was raining but nothing bad. I watched gmtv and saw that lots of places had been hit but we had escaped it, I was expecting it to be cold and wrapped up, but by the time I took the kids to school the sun was out and it was really warm to the point that I was sweating. So did you end up with bad weather today or did you escape it?

The weather report has not proved to be true yet, so hopefully you may not be doing your mary Poppins inpersonation after all.
I am constantly appalled at the poor rate of prediction shown in weather forecasting in this country. The modern meteorology department has millions of pounds worth of computer equipment and software to process the constant stream of data from numerous satellites circulating the planet, yet they struggle to accurately predict today's weather. I can understand the difficulty with a long range forecast such as 7 days because too many events can easily change, but surely they can do better with the present weather by looking out of the window.

What some of hare in the states would do for a good thunderstorm right now. We are getting record breaking cold tempatures. I want a good strong thunderstorm. It would mean that the spring is finally arriving.

Gabs dear, please be very careful in such storms with such high winds because it could pick you up and carry you off somewhere and you could get really hurt or something could be flying through the air and hit you. God forbid any of that happening but please do be really careful!!

Ha ha, you gave me a good laugh. I look out the window tomorrow for you flying by. If I'm outside, I'll try to catch hold of you and Gissi. :o)
Today was our crazy wind. And yesterday was our rainstorm. I think it's over now, but we'll see. Not bad as some in the other states or countries, have huge snowstorms.
Have fun in the wind, but not too much! ;o)

Well gabs saturday night we had strong winds too so bad that a tree fell down in my driveway. If it would have fallen in the other direction it would have fallen on the house. Talk about being scared. Yesterday the landlord had to come with a chainsaw to cut the tree up. Now we have some fire wood.LOL I hope you got sleep I know how you hate storms. Big Hugs! I didnt see you flying by my window so thats good!LOL

You'd best batten down the hatches!! It's going to be blowing a hooley down in your neck of the woods. Here in the Highlands, we may get some rain with wind gusts to 50mph. It's just too bad that we won't get any of the snow as we are too far north. Stay safe.

Well I hope you made it through ok hon. From a couple of responses here, it looks like it wasn't as bad as the weather person predicted. I really hope it doesn't get bad for you hon. You know how much I hate storms like that, so I would be sitting right next to you on the settee. If you and Gissi do happen to blow by, I'll make sure to throw a rope out to catch both of you and bring you inside (although I'm sure Gissi will not be impressed with all the cats in the house LOL). Hugs to you.
