I know that I've brought up this discussion about this show not being appropriate for kids and even agreed that I thought it was a little graphic about things, but I have it on tonight and am almost ashamed to say, tonigh's episode completely cracked me up. It's the episode where Peter has a stroke because of eating a ton of fatty fast food. Don't misunderstand me. I don't think someone have a stroke in real life is funny but this episode is really funny to me. Has anyone else seen this?

I have watched the show before and have to admit that yes it can be funny at times, But I do not think that it is a good show for my children to watch at times.

When this show first came out, I thought it was very crude. But, I've been watching it regularly for a while and it can be very funny! Yes, it's inappropriate for younger children and it really is meant for adults (and teens) in the first place, anyway. I haven't seen tonight's episode, yet, but will in a couple of hours.

Oh, yeah, I did see that episode before. It was very funny, even with Stewie trying to fit in with the "cool high school kids".

Ohh I loved that one!! Mademe laugh hard too lol..I love all of Family Guts shows..but i also love the Simpsons too..and I dont let my son watch Family Guy because ur right there are alot more adult themed..thought the Simpsons can somedays be bad..my son knows not to repeat anything bad he sees..But if they are going to show them they should later than 7 or 8pm..i would say 10pm.or even 9pm..but i will always love watching family Guy.."ITS FREAKIN SWEET!!" lol..

I watched that episode tonight too. In fact, right now I'm watching a 2nd episode. Both have made me guffaw outloud numerous times. I agree, it is NOT a show for kids. Thankfully, on the few occasions I've had it on around my kids, they aren't interested in it. They don't "get" a lot of the jokes.. and I'm fine with that.

I missed that one. I'm only just starting to watch the show, if I can catch it on tv when the kids aren't up.

I love watching family guy. We have it on our free on demand channel so I can watch it at anytime. I do agree that most times it is inappropriate for children. My oldest wants to know why I am against her watching it, but I have explained to her that it's graphic in some things they talk about or show on there.

This one was something else for sure. I seen this one, and was like "What?" I just think they made this show look really crazy. I can see why you laughed. And then to think he went in for Botox, and the talking Cow... What a show. Made no one think about overeating, etc. if you ask me.

It's a very funny show I watch it every time it's on, though they are repeating the same episodes a lot a lot at the moment, and they are probably really old ones too. I agree it's not suitable for children though it can be very dark and gives conflicting messages about things that children wouldn't understand.

This show really does go too far sometimes, especially when the baby is put in 'adult' situations. But a lot of it is funny. They dare to say what people won't say. Sometimes they offend, but sometimes it's just funny because it's so stupid. I'm not sure I've seen that episode, but I am sure it had the usual stuff in it. Funny stuff that a lot of people won't admit they find funny, and a little something to offend many.

you can pretty much watch all the episodes of family guy at episode network.com including the hilarious star wars spoof "blue harvest" i usually make the window the same size as the image screen and keep that window on top while i go about my business.

I love the show. It basically continues where the Simpsons stop. And just like the SImpsons, the show works on different levels. It looks like a cartoon, but the jokes (and some of the graphics, I guess) are meant for adults. That's what makes it successful. Adults can enjoy the word jokes and political or other references, kids just laugh at the funny faces. I don't think it'll harm them, but everybody obviously has to decide for themselves how far one can go.
