64bit XP could not detect modem

Hi, can anybody help...i upgraded my operating system from XP 32bit to XP 64Bit...but the new operating system cannot detect my modem...did anyone experience the same problem?

How did you upgrade? was it a full installation or just upgrade? Is it external or internalmodem? If its simple upgrade, theres a tendency that the modem driver 32 bit isnt compatible with 64 bit. If its an external modem, make sure you to install software driver. If its internal,upgrade firmware of your internal modem.

Well i haven't install 64Bit xp on my computer although my compputer supports 64Bit edition. But anyways thanks for sharing your problem i will remember this problem next time whenever i tried to install or upgrade 32 bit to 64 Bit
