It's the scariest thing ever. I got severely depressed with my 3rd but thought I just wasn't coping. I cried a lot and just couldn't cope. I felt that it was all too hard. I loved my son and gave him everything but could see nothing in the future for me. However hard I tried to tell myself to stop being so negative I couldn't stop. It affected everything. I ended up in hospital and put on medication. It took time but with the medication and a LOT of talking and support I got through it. Please, if you think you're going through it you really must talk to someone supportive, like a good doctor. Family and many friends don't really understand and can make you feel worse. Psychologists are great for support.
