OBama as Hillary's VP

I read an article today on line that stated, Bill and Hillary are bringing up the idea in campaign speeches of OBama quitting his race for president and joining Hillary's campaign as her VP running mate. Now apparently Hillary and Bill are trying to get the powers that be, and the voters behind this idea, and a lot of them love the idea, but of course, Obama as the Democratic front runner at the moment, is having no part of this little scheme. Hillary had just started the rants about him not being prepared to be the president, but now she wants to put him in the number 2 spot as VP, that is kind of confusing, why would she feel he is qualified for one and not the other, what if something were to happen to her in her first few weeks in office, how could Obama run the country if he is as incapable as she claims he is. Now I am a Republican, and I can see where this pairing could be very bad for McCain, I think if they joined forces they would be unstoppable, and would take the election, but on the other hand, I can see where they could cripple the Democratic party, because they are both very opinionated, and frankly I think Obama is too much of a male chauvinuist (sp) to ever play 2nd fiddle to a woman. I feel he would never be prepared to answer to Hillary. What do you think about this interesting twist?

First of all, I must ask where you come up with the conclusion that Obama is "too much of a male chauvinist to ever play 2nd fiddle to a woman"? I honestly haven't seen anything to indicate that about him and I'd say his wife's outspokenness attests to that. I haven' heard anything that the Clinton campaign wants Obama to quit the race, but I have heard not so subtle hints that they would be willing to share the ticket. Obviously, both would like to be on top but no matter which way it was that would be the most unstoppable ticket in the history of Presidential politics. Obama has unequivocally stated he's "not running for VP" but he sure wouldn't be the first running mate to have said that if it were to occur. Of course, they're now both trying to get the message across that they're the most capable candidate and to do that they must imply the other is incapable - that's the nature of politics! Look at McCain and his former opponents, who are now supporting him? Who'd have expected that to happen while watching the GOP debates? I prefer the mudslinging to stop and to have only positive campaigns but that's never happened in a highly contested Presidential election and probably never will. What's happening right now and will probably continue to happen at the very least until after the PA primary but probably until the Democratic convention is that the Dems are literally sucking the oxygen away from McCain and the GOP. He'll pretty much only get national attention when he does or says something stupid, like having radio host Bill Cunningham warm up his crowd.

anniepa, What I said about the male chau, is just a personal feeling I get about Obama. as for the part about him quitting, if Hillary is stating they should "Share The Ticket", It stands to reason that would mean Obama quitting his run for president. Sweetie, I have no issue with this either way, I just thought it was interesting that the Clinton's would even suggest this, because as you and others say, Obama is the front runner in the Democratic race. I personally don't care for any of the candidates this election, and I know I will have to make a choice before long. I am trying to find out everything I can about all of the candidates, and trying to keep an open mind. I have really been enjoying the debates, and information going back and forth here at My Lot. I have read some very informative post, and some very stupid. I do happen to believe though that even if it sounds stupid to me, everyone has the right to say what they feel. Blessings

There is no way Obama will be willing to be Vice President. He has already stated in public that he will not do it. I'm positive its not going to happen.
Hilary isn't going to be Obama's choice, if he should get the votes needed, as Obama will want a man as Vice President.
The Republican Party will be way ahead of the Democrats, as they are already picking a running mate for McCain. They have plenty of time and can raise lots of money.

The clintons are up to dirty tricks again. They are trying to give the impression that hilary is the leading candidate and the only option. I am glad that Obama has squashed any ideas of such a riduculus suggestion.
I don't know about whether this or the ongoing primiary helps McCain, as Obama and Clinton will get most of the headlines for the next couple of months or more and McCain will get little national exposure. Also, the country is VERY upset with Bush and McCain is sounding more and more like Bush II, which in October and November will hurt him.
I think in most political races, the last few weeks are were a race is won or lost, by, then the Dems will have a candidate and a VP.
Then again, this election is for the Democrates to lose and they do seem to be trying their hardest to do that.

Well, Obama said he is not interested in running for visepresident, he is running for president. So far he is the front runner. So the way it looks now, Hillary will have to be in the number 2 spot, not OBama!!So she has it all backward. But I do not see where Obama is this male chauvinuist as you say.Even if he were to be the VP this would not make him any less of a man.
