It is quite acceptable to be with more than one person at a time in contemporary society, however if you are referring to being unfaitful then I suggest the answer would be no, I do not think it is appropriate to be in a relationship, but be unable to commit. Just dont bother being in a relationship if you dont want to be with only one person..
