hmmmmm
That's a good question.....
I used to use skype for voice chat and yahoo messenger for text chat.
Afterwards when i got to know about Gtalk, It's voice chat service is very good as voice is transmitting very perfectly but for text messaging i prefer my one and only YAHOO messenger because there are good Emoticons, Good themes and good BUZZ!!! LOLZZZZZZZZZ
I think you are new to orkut??

Have a nice day!!

I rarely do voice chat so my favorite has to be Yahoo messenger. It provides more flexibility and much more privacy features. I like the fact that you can be invisible on Yahoo messenger to some users while being online to others. I like all the customization you are allowed to do with your text on yahoo messenger and I also enjoy the Yahoo chat rooms. Since I use the internet to meet random people online, Yahoo messenger allows me to do that with ease by providing a way to reach to millions of people around the world.

Actually I like using Trillian. Trillian combines MSN, Yahoo, ICQ and IRC altogether. Pity it doesn't have Skype...
But if I were to choose, I would enjoy Skype more simply because I can make Internet calls to my friends and family landline phones or mobile phones conveniently. Its like International call and its cheaper than other International rates..
Last but not least, the amount can be topped up easily via credit card...and have an expiry of 6 months if unused..

I always prefer skype messenger for voice and video chatting. As the skype server gives you a real time conversation voice and the voice quality is so damn clear that i love skype,,,
