Sometimes I reckon ours should be 21 but then it doesn't matter what the age there will always be people who can't handle it.

The legal age in the US is 21 yrs of age. I think that they should change it. I mean, you can sign up to fight for your country at age 18, but you still can't drink. I think that the ages should match. And just because it is a legal age, that doesn't mean that a person waits until they are 21 to drink. Many drink when they are in high school. Not that it is right, but by the time a person reaches 21, chances are they have already been drinking for years prior to that.

I reckon you are right, if you can die for your country at 18, having a drink won't kill ya.

Gee, that seems a bit harsh. What do they do if you get caught drinking under age?

Here in The Netherlands its at 16 years.
I think thats a reasonable age cause then they should be wise enough to deal with it.
Although there always are exeptions ofcourse!

I'm glad it works for them, but I think 16 is a little young to be going to the pub for a drink.

I live in the United States, so our legal drinking age is 21. Although I have a couple friends who were 19 and 20 and they'd always just drive up to Canada and drink there, since the legal drinking age is only 19. Canada is about 3 1/2 hours from me, so some people would rather just drive up there. While one of my friend's lives in Michigan and it's about an hour for her.

When you come to think of it, drinking ain't all the big a deal, especially when you get to the stage where you can't remember who you were with the day befor.
