Cities that don't do Halloween on Halloween

The city that I live it doesn't "celebrate" some of the holidays on the actual days they they occur. For instance, rather than taking my kid trick or treating tomorrow, I had to do it last Saturday. When I was a kid, Halloween was Halloween. Same thing with the fourth of July. They do fireworks on the closest Saturday to it. This bother me. What about you?

Hey that does strike me as kinda weird. Here we have activities all around the Holiday but for tricker treating it done on that night. Its good for some places to have things set up on Holloween night for the safety of our kids. Well maybe you can start a new traidition. Have them dress up on the 31st and start knocking down some doors. j/k Hope you had a Happy Holloween still.

Our city does both. They offer activities, ect. the weekend before the Holiday, but still celebrates on the specific day :) I think it would bother me as well!
