Are prime time series getting too violent?

Bloody sitcoms and series have always existed, but it seems like you can't make any 'normal'ones anymore. It's all blood and gore and other weird stuff that makes us watch tv. From Supernatural to Heroes to all the more realistic than life hospital shows, there's got to be violence involved. Do you long for the good old days like 'Dallas' where the occasional fight was as bad as it got?
