You bet I am.. I cannot leave the house without my mobile phones. I feel so incomplete and unprepared without them with me. One time i was waiting for a bus going to my job and I remembered to send an sms to my boyfriend for my whereabouts when I cannot find the kit of my mobile phones. My place was five minutes walk from the bus stop and the bus was coming in three minutes. Without hesitation I hurriedly went back to my place to get my mobile phones because I know I will not feel at ease while working without my mobile phones with me. They are my extension of my life. I communicate excessively to my loveones in the Philippines through my mobile phones.

Since I gave up my land line I am dependent on my cell. I feel naked today because my phone needed charging and I left it home on the charger. Last week my car broke down. My first thought was to call hubby to come rescue me but I looked at my phone and it was low on charge. I would have panicked but I didn't have time, I was late for work. Now every time I drive without my cell I figure it will probably break down.

I guess I am not that dependent. I consider it a necessity but my life don't depend on it. I consider myself computer/internet dependent more than mobile/cellphone dependent. Even when I was still in the Phils it won't matter if I have or not and I hate texting. I just use it to track my brother or for my friends to track me otherwise I am ok without it. And now that I am here in the US, I don't have one because I just use my computer to communicate with people back home.

Hi ruthinian, glad to know you are a Filipina too. You are so lucky that your family back home lives in a place where internet connection isnt a problem. My family lives far from the city, and until now only one internet cafe is available in our place. Though there were households with personal computer, too sad no internet connectivity available. Thus my mobile phones are the extension of my life, connecting with people back home.

I never take mine out with me, it always stays in my bedroom, unless I am driving then that is the only time I will take it with me in case of emergencies, if I break down, but other than that I don't bother with it, it's ok for texts when I am at home but I hardly ever use it, it's more as a luxury than an every day use, sometimes I can go days and days without even picking it up. For me it's an expensive luxury, I don't like them, they are an invasion of privacy for me.

Hi wolfie34. You are right, cellphone sometimes distracts the moment when we want no distubance at all. But there are also days that a cellphone is a good company. Thanks for responding..

I'm not really dependent with mobile phones. At school, we were not allowed to bring any gadget so I'm not quite addicted to it. However, when I have time, I try to load my cellphone and communicate my friends. It sometimes become a necessity but I really didn't depend on it.

hmm I guess I am notcellphone dependent as I only use mine once in a while and sometimes forget it at home. I do most of my communication face-to-face or through internet(e-amail,msn etc) so I guess that takes away the need to use my cellphone more often.

Hi ital.. thanks for dropping by. I envy you since you can reach your loveones through internet. My folks live in a town where internet connections is sooooo limited. So have to bring my mobile phones with me all the time.

When I am going someplace by myself I always have to have my cell phone. I feel very uneasy the couple of times I have forgot it at home only because with my cell phone on me if something happens while I am out I have easy access to getting a hold of someone to help me out. When my husband and I are out together I leave my cell phone at home but he always has his on him. So I guess I am cell phone dependent.

I can't leave my cellphone, too. If I forget to bring it with me, I will feel very uncomfortable and imagine I may miss some important calls. When I go out, there are three things that I must keep in my bag. They are keys, wallet and my cellphone.
