How do you market your business?

I want to market my business to all extremes. How do you market yours? I am looking for advice. Options that have been tried and work.
I am on myspace promoting. I am going to do flyers, but have not yet. My friend Jessica in NY is going to hand out flyers with my info on them when she hands out some of her own next time. She is so nice!
I've done one posting on craigslist. I've joined all kinds of forums and groups. But no response. No luck.
I really want to promote the fundraising part and the business-to-business part. I have been sending letters for the B2B dept. I don't have the time to hit the places on foot or call them since I am still working.

i did use social networking sites to market our flower shop. i discovered that less is more. less words. most people get bored reading a paragraph. a tag line would do. and of course some visuals. i signed up for the photo slideshow and whenever i get inquiries from perspective clients i just send them the site to view our gallery of floral arrangements. with it are simple (one liner) description of the arrangements. we relied mostly by word of mouth til our list of clients went a long way. goodluck in your business!

Thanks. I have been posting bulletins, but they have been pretty short. I have had a few responses, but I want people to go all the way. I mean go through with it, not just ask some questions.
