I use Firefox, IE and Netscape for browsers and since yesterday I've been getting a pop up box saying "Official end of Support" (regarding Netscape)..."Given Aol's current business focus, support for Netscape browsers will be discontinued as of March 31, 2008". They encourage Netscape users to upgrade to either of 2 browsers that they include downloads for...Flock and Firefox. They say both are based on the Mozilla technologies just as Netscape is and are being actively maintained.
The thing that is confusing me is that I already have Firefox on my machine so if I choose to download theirs will that mess up the one I already have? They don't explain what Flock is so I'm afraid to try that one out. Does anyone else use Netscape and have you downloaded either of the new browsers? I'm glad I have until the 31st because I have no idea what I should do. Any suggestions?

Yup. Netscape has ceased operation on their browser and there would no more support on their browser anymore...
Well, its ok since the team who designed the Netscape Navigator browser are the one responsible of starting Mozilla Firefox and therefore its great that they recommend the use of Firefox as an alternative.
I haven't really know what Flock is, but looking at their website, Flock is just another flavour based on the Firefox engine. Its just like Maxthon is a flavour based on Internet Explorer. I haven't use Flock before since I only heard it here, but the way I see it, it should be quite safe and stable to use, since its based on Firefox which is a very reliable browser...
You can decide to change to another browser like Firefox, Flock or even Opera...depending on which one you like to use....As long as its not IE, I think it would be a fine choice. Moreover, if you don't like what the browser offer, just switch to another one...
I use Opera and Maxthon mostly than other browsers...and I'm sticking with them for now
