I know times have changed, and supposedly society has grown. I was talking with my husband last night and we were discussing, the "good old days". Yes, at time we like to sit and reminisce about our childhoods, etc.
One of things that came up was the fact in the "old days", when we were younger, was that a "person's word" was their bond. Back then things were so much easier. When you dealt business and stated "your word" and sealed with a handshake, You could take it to the bank, and deposit it.(Figutively speaking) Now days, you practically have to go through an act of congress for any business dealings, etc.
What is your thoughst on this? Or do you disagree?

i agree on this one. i wish life would be so much simpler now... it just shows how things have change over the past... people i guess can't be trusted the way people are before that there must be some formal writing prior to an agreement.

Lying is the one pet peeve I have in life, that I do not give second chances to. There is days, I feel like I wasn't born in the right era. With all the expanding technology, etc we are given these days, I just simply want to go back to the old days.

yeah i know what you mean , i was just talking about the same thing with my brother in law the other day ,it seems like there is no such thing as a person keeping his or her word anymore ,its sad to say ,but true , you cant trust anyone any more, people take giving there word very lightly now a days....
