I just got my Digital Converter Box

Hi! I just got one of my digital converter boxes that convert the digital signal to analog for my older TVs that get over-the-air television. Boy, the picture is so much better and there's so many features! I got it with that coupon the government sent out after I ordered them.
But, I can't get one of my favorite stations from Mexico, but I hear they are starting up a high-def station, soon. There seems to be some confusion as to whether or not they're digital right now or not. Another station I like to watch has different shows at different times than on their regular, analog, station.
The only other drawback that I have is that I have to set my VCR to the digital tuner, so I can't record and watch the show on two different channels anymore.
So, have you begun to receive your digital stations yet?

I haven't got my converter yet. I need to look up the site that offers the coupon. How long did it take for yours to arrive? I didn't know we could hook them up as soon as we got them. Pardon me, I'm a novice at the digital. So we won't be charged extra by our cable company if we hook them up now?

From what I know, you don't need to get a converter box if you are already using cable. I get over-the-air TV with an antenna and my Tvs are older. It's free to use it over the air. I actually ordered my coupon on New Year's Day and got it about a week ago. I think it won't take that long to get it if you apply now. They didn't even start giving them away until the end of last month.

The picture and sound are much better than the old broadcast TV. I don't pay anything because it's over the air just like the old system. The thing is that they're changing from analog broadcasting to digital broadcasting, so if you have an old TV that doesn't have a digital tuner, you won't get a signal in the US by March of 2009. In my case, I have a digital television, but not a digital tuner, so I needed a converter.
In the United States, most new TVs have a digital tuner already in it.
