So I discovered one night that the hasp lock on my door was a little funky. It was suppose to be screwed into the wall, but it was loose and away from the wall a little. I walk in not thinking too much of it (all though I thought it was ackward). I went in with the purpose of finding a movie to watch and I notice I have a huge chunck of movies missing, I then discover my XBOX 360 missing, my IPOD, and a XBOX 360 video game. I knew who it was and first thing I did was call my boyfriend (his brother) and he was pretty upset about all of it just as I was. I went to the Troopers the next day and filed a theft report. I can't do much past that though, waiting for a result sucks.
Anyways, I waned to know if anyone else has had this happen to them and what you did to help resolve it?

I've never had anything worth so much stolen from me. Most of what I've had stolen is just small things, that really didn't mean that much to me. It's terrible that his brother would do that, and all you can really do is report him to the police and be sure to follow up. A lot of time, cops will let things go unless you keep calling and checking up on it. Try to get the guy to confess on a recording or on a tape. DOn't let him get away with it. Keep calling and checking it. Get other people to file reports if they have had to deal with it too. It's not fair to let him just get away with it scott free. If he would have stolen these items from a store you can bet they would have taken him to court for it! Don't let yourself settle with any less justice.
