Gerraldine ferraro made a comment "If Obama was a white man, he would not be in this position". Obama people are lashing out and calling it racist. I dont think it is racist at all, it is an opinion. Have we really become that sensitized to opions that this is out right racist.
There is such a thing called the "United Negro College Fund" isnt that racist? If we had something called the United White College Fund, how do you think that would go over? or the NAACP (National Association of the Advancement of Colored People) for that matter, if we had the NAAWP it would be outright wrong.
I am so annoyed hearing all the bickering. Obama's supporter called Hillary a monster...so what. I am just irritated with this whole mess. how do you feel?

I hate how the world has become so politically correct. People need to stop being so sensitive and taking every little remark so personal. I wouldn't vote for Obama if he was a white man. I don't agree with his politics, plain and simple.
Racism exists in all races, not just white. I know some people find that hard to believe, but it's true.

I totally agree with you. I am getting so sick of it. I am tempted to change my vote. I have always been a democrat voter but now I am so sick of all the mudslinging and the he said she said crap now I'm thinking maybe McCain has more sense.

I actually have pondered the McCain idea. I am a die hard democrat but I am questioning that now. I heard a report that if Obama wins they expect some 25% democrats to vote republican in the primary..i may fall in that 25%. sad to say. If he takes on Hillary as his VP, or the dream ticket so to speak, then I will vote for him, but I doubt he will do that.

irisheyes My biggest issues are - national health having grown up in the UK I am all for it. There is not one person (especially seniors) in the UK who can not see because the dont have glasses or can't eat because they dont have false teeth and can always get medical help. Next is to get our troops out of Iraq and stop spending billions of dollars everyday when our own country is heading towards a recession!

A bit ridiculous isn't it? I believe Bill Clinton got into trouble awhile ago for saying something else that was just the truth. I think when political correctness means people can't make an honest statement, it's time to re-evaluate things. Especially if it means politicians getting in trouble for telling the truth. There's little enough of that to begin with and we shouldn't discourage it. LOL

I've long been an admirer of Geraldine Ferraro; she was the first woman to run for VP on a national ticket which I believe helped open doors for all women. She was accused of having only been chosen because she was a woman, which is what I feel makes her remarks all the more surprising. I'm not sure if you heard or read her whole comment so I included the link below:

I'm tired of this whole "mess" as well. I don't think Samantha Power should have called Hilary a "monster" but I also think Ferraro was out of line with what she said. I know I'm taking a big risk saying this since I see I'm vastly outnumbered, but I think her remarks were very unfortunate. I hope they can be quickly forgotten and not too much more made of it.

very well put! I feel the same. It was unfortunate what she said and the same for Samantha powers. my problem is the whole politically correct..he said/she said..blah blah blah nonsense that is clogging the internet, the airwaves, and it is clouding the real issues. Our country is in trouble, what are you going to do to fix it? this is what I want them to answer and debate over. I could care less who called who a name. I have been called many names, doesnt mean they are right. people are entitled to opinions
