Have you ever made a mistake that keeps coming back to haunt you?

since 2005 my life has been pretty crappy, I left my regular job because I got very sick. That was in february of that year. In november or so I tried a job and worked for 3 days, just as I started my sister landed in the hospital with cancer. I was too sick too work so I had to quit, with all that was going on I forgot to notify unemployment insurance of the three days, my sister died in January of 2006 and then last year the unemployment insurance people came after me but not for the money which was less than 300 but for 1,000 claiming I didn't serve all money I received after that time, It was scary I was already on welfare by then, I appealed and won, I only had to pay back the original 297.00 It was my mistake and I payed for it. Now I am on disability still not able to work and today in the mail I get an assessment, they say I owe 75.00 from 2005 to the income tax over this same three days that I worked. Heck I filled out the income tax as it was supposed to be filled out, I have no money and this mistake keeps coming back to haunt me over and over again, has any mistake you made ever come back to haunt you?
