We all have friends and i am interested where did you meet them first time? I have friend who i know for about 18 years and we met in the kindergarden then was together in elementary school and we are friends since. the other friends I have meet in high school and later in my job. Last week I was just chatting with some of my old co-worker who ask me if i have friends here in maryland. (since i am not from here) I answer that i don't and she said:"Find one" Since then I was thinking if it is really so easy to find a friend. Specialy if you are like me in new state, new country and being all day long with no job. So where did you meet your friends? Do we really find them the most time in our jobs or schools?

The only friends that I have right now is my husband and my daughter in my home. I have quite a few online friends and aaquaintances though. I work inside my home so I don't get out to meet new people. I have tried to be friends with some people around me but it just doesn't work out.

Thank you. alot of people judge me and use me and treat me badly in the end, so I am fine with only having my husband and my daughter for a friend. That protects me from being hurt again also.

I think it is easier to find friends at a job or school because we all share a kind of camaraderie since we are going through the same things. It is hard these days to meet other people and develop friendships. It would be wonderful to have you nearby so we could become even better friends.
My best friend now I had met in high school when I was 15. We fell out of touch for a few years but have been in contact for quite a while now. I also have a friend that I am close to, and we go to church together. I guess it isn't as easy as we might think to find good friends these days. I have to say most of my friends I met at either church or school.

Yeah you are so right ambie. It is easier in school, because we share same kind of life and experiences and problems. I have some online friend( of course you are one of them) but you know i am missing someone here, who will come for tea and so. It is a shame you are so far.

I have lots of friends, some I met in school, others in the office and others in the places I've been. But my very close friends or my very best friend are from our place in the province. We've known each other since elementary (we are schoolmates) but we're not friends. It only during an occasion in the province in 1992, that we met again. After that, the three of us are inseparable.

I am glad to here that you have a friend whom you know for 18 years- that sounds really nice. You know, I have lot of acquaintances whom I met way back when I was in school, later on I met friends through my job, organizations and through affinities- (my friend introduce their friend to me sort of thing.) The friends that I treasure, they were 7- I met them from college, for 8 years we've been tight and still getting tighter and we know that there are more years to come for us. Good luck to you and your friends. Stay safe. =)

A few of them are my higschool and college classmates. Up to now, I still manage to keep in touch with them or meet them to catch up with each other's lives.
A lot of them are my former colleagues from work. Some of them are working overseas but we managed to communicate through email. Thank goodnes for technology! :)
