My dad did odd jobs for my grandmother when he was younger. My grandmother thought he was a nice boy and introduced him to my mother. They obviously hit it off and here I am along with three younger siblings! Do you have a romantic or interesting story about how your parents met?

Honestly I have no idea how they met. I know it's crazy right? But I honestly haven't got a clue. My mother tells me that I don't want to know how they met because it would make me cry.

My parents told us that they met in a summer camp. Its a teacher's camp actually where teachers have their activities and vacation during summer. They're both teachers and they both came from opposite part of the country. They were introduced by friends and then that's where their love story started and produced 6 children all professionals.

My dad's brother worked in the pulp and paper mill along side my mom's dad, mom, and oldest brother. When my dad showed up in town on the back of his bike for a summer job my Nanny told mom to stay way from the Anderson boys they where trouble. Of course they where all trouble even my Moms brother, they all road bikes and had fast cars. A year later my Mom and Dad took off across Canada on the back of my Dad's 71 Triumph Tiger chopper. A year after that they got married. They are all still trouble they kind of forgot to give up the bikes and fast cars.

My dad would go to Baltimore to visit a relative when he was young and he meet my mom when they lived in the same apartment building. They were younger than 10 if I am remembering correctly. They wrote each other and when my dad was in the Army in WWII , he proposed and she obviously said yes. But the real romantic part is that my dad got permission to marry so he didn't go overseas with his unit because he was in New York getting married. He was stationed in the south during the war.

My father was going to college on the GI bill, but also working in the kitchen of a dorm to help make ends meet.
My mom lived in the dorm and he spotted her across the room and decided that she was the girl he was going to marry.
The first time they went out, they didn't actually go out together. they were on a double date, he was with her friend and she was with his, but she went back to the dorm with him....

Mum was a maid and Pop was the postman. Her version of it was that one time when she met him at the mailbox he said to here, "I sure wish I had somebody to help me clean the chicken coop" and she said to him "That is no way to propose to a woman, so get down on your knees and do it right" and whatever she meant by that, that is apparently what he did. His version of it was "Hmmmmmph" and if we persisted in question him he would add, "Ask your mother." Hmmmmph!

My parents met several years before they fell in love.
My dad actually hated my mom and thought she was a b*tch. LOL
But several years later they met again and actually he started dating my mom's best friend because he wanted to get closer to my mom. Then I'm not exactly sure of the details but they finally started dating :) Then not too much longer than that I came along.

Not sure about my real parents but my Grandparents met during the war! It was right at the beginning , my Grandad who was not from this area was based in Stirling Castle with his Regiment before going overseas. He met my Grandma and fell in love, they were married and had their first baby all within a year! xxxx

I don't know how romantic it is lol but my mom and dad met at a club they use to go to in New York called The Unicorn. My mom was actually dating this other guy who she says was a really nice guy, except the relationship was kind of casual and he went with other girls when he was with her (what a looser!).
So, here comes my dad, this italian guy straight off the boat pretty much and her friends use to make fun of him but mom thought he was cute and in my dad's defense, he wasn't bad looking. So, I think my mom's friend Gail introduced them and from there it's history....

I know my parents met when they were both at college, but I honestly don't know how. That suprises me, I'd never thought about it before! Now I've realised that I don't know, I'll make a point of finding out. It's the sort of story I want to be able to tell my kids when they ask about their grandparents.

It's not the most romantic story, nor is it the most original, but my parents met in college. Sort of an improbable meeting, seeing as how my mother was born in the Philippines and my father was born in Connecticut, yet they met at San Francisco State University. It was a general story, they were in a class together and just started talking, then they hung out and voila, they got together. Me and my two sisters are the end result! :-)

My grandfather has just taken a job to pastor a new church, and a few months after moving to that city, my dad came to visit the church my mom's dad preached at. He saw my mom, asked his aunt (who already went to that church) to introduce them, and the rest is history.

My parents met the same way my husband and I met. They were neighbors. It may not be romantic or interesting, but I think it's pretty cool that we met the same way as they did. It certainly wasn't planned that way!

I think the story goes my parents met in a roller skating rink when they were 17. My dad had just come to America and didn't even speak English but I guess back then they only new one language and it was how to fall in love. I saw a picture of them back in those days, holding hands, happy...then time just did away with it. But hey at least they have those old good memories and my brother and sister and I to show for it.
