I agree that these really are vialid sins. Perhaps polluting the environment might be a bit rough as mankind has been doing this since the beginning of time. The rest I fully agree with. Anyone who is obscenely wealth (why did Catholic church pop into my head) and doesn't use that wealth to alleviate the poverty in this world are commiting a terrible sin. Yes I agree with the new sins.

Well, I agree that most of items on the list are indeed new sins of the world, except the 1st one. I decidedly understand the church will name it a sin, for it's an attempt to alter God's will by human force. But basically, the merit of genetic modification is to make the human race a better race and try to help us get away from diseases and some other misfortunes. The original intention is good, and I am glad to see that this technology in still under peaceful hands. Surely, there might be a possibility that we will one day let lose of the control and cause catastrophe. But all in all, it is a technology aiming to help human beings themselves, and hence should be promoted.

I would never commit these sins as well. I believe life could be lived to its fullest without genetic modifications, abortion, obscene richness and so on.

I do not totally agree with Genetic modification being described as a Mortal Sin . I believe Genetic Modification experiments which are there to cure certain diseases or for betterment of Humans or even Animals should instead be promoted . Regards,

As a matter of fact I do think they go very well with the times of today. A lot of people commit these sins on a daily basis and some without knowing it. I would not commit any of these sins, I honestly feel that I am sinless from these. But they are interesting.
