I am so mad right now, Earlier today my computer was hit hard with spyware and viruses. I had so many errors and notices that I couldn't even see straight, It kept on telling me to download virus protection because I currently didn't have one. Well I know for a fact that I have verizon security suite which I pay a monthly bill for. When I called Verizon the girl on the phone told me she wasn't trained in that and that she would send me to the tech support where I would have to PAY a fee for them to help me. I told her isn't that what I pay a monthly fee for now. By the end of it I ended up hanging up after being on hold for 34 minutes and had to pay for another software to get back on track. So much for Verizon protection. BEWARE

Well that's just pathetic. I've seen their stupid commercials where they claim to give you personal help dealing with viruses. Seriously, I'd ask to talk to a supervisor and if they didn't give me personal assistance I'd demand to have my last month's bill refunded and tell them I was switching to Brighthouse, or whatever the competition is in your area.

Well you should call them back and demand they refund the money you've been paying for virus protection since they refused to assist you. Don't call Customer Service. That is the most undermanned and untrained department in most businesses. Call the Sales department. They are obsessed with making money and are empowered to give refunds and credits to keep your business. Explain your problem. Tell them you have already been treated like crap by customer service. If they say they can't help you, ask to speak to a sales supervisor. If sales can't help you, call billing. They're not necessarily as good with people, but they are empowered to give credits and refunds. Customer Service is often empowered to give you the run around and transfer calls.

The girl on the phone just kept switching me around so I never got to talk with anyone.....and as of right now, I no longer have to pay for virus protection through them because I cancelled it.

Actually it's better to degrade your plan and download AVG Antivirus and Comondo Firewall. These softwares are free, virus & spyware free. I use them and am so happy. The hold time for reps at Verizon can be long especially in their internet department so I understand what you mean. Pablo

We had a similar experience with verizon, they sold us the security suite and then come to find out it doesn't work on the system we operate, which they knew and failed to tell us.

There is probably a lot of things they don't tell us, until we find out on our own the hard way/ thanks

i did not know that verizon offer protection for their customers. i don't care really. my advice just get your own personal virus protection from other vendors or other company.

Instead of paying money to verizon you could use avira antivir which is a free antivirus software and spyware doctor which is a free antispyware software.

I wish I knew about this spyware last night when I was going through all of this. I ended up paying for one.
