One of my friends is really good at hard. He can do that song, i think it's called "Through the Fire and Flames", pretty well. As for me i can barely do medium.

The transition from medium to hard is can be a rough one. I agree with you fallingstar. If you're good at the medium level try this: When playing at the medium level only play with three fingers so you are forced to slide your hand up and down to get the blue and red frets. Practice this and then start placing your pinky finger on the orange (lower end) end fret when you slide you hand down. This itself may be a little challenging so keep practicing. Also, use the practice mode to your advantage. If you need too, slow down the song at the medium level and practice the technique that way. When you feel comfortable sliding your hand up and down the frets, then move onto the hard level and use the practice mode to play songs at a slower pace on hard. Pretty much you just have to keep playing and practicing and you will start to get it. Good luck!

Fallingstar I'm in the exact same boat as you, word for word. Hard mode is quite a jump. Mastering the slide to orange and memorizing the finger positions while your pinky is on orange not blue is tricky. However, don't get discouraged. Do you remember when you moved from Easy to Medium and how hard it was to get your pinky into shape? It's the same way. Time and practice and practice again. Work on the first 5 songs... Slow Ride, Hit me with your best shot, Story of my life, Talk Dirty to Me and Rock n' Roll all night until you're comfortable with the slide. The next few sets are actually easier in my opinion. Practice mode is your friend, slow the rythym down if you need to, and also take some time just with you and the guitar unplugged and memorize the finger positions and what finger is responsible for what.
Don't worry, you'll be a Rock Legend in no time!

to get good at hard it helps to move your fingers up and practice using your little finger on the orange not your third finger on the blue, your second on the yellow and your first on the red, then practice sliding to all of your fingers down one to play the green note. It also helps to practice on rock you like a hurricane as it starts with orange and blue chord then green and red chords. It worked for me.
