Summer is here in the Philippines and during the day the heat is oppressive. How do you deal with it?

Hi palawena, the weather of the sunny days in my country is indeed very hot. If I want to take a siesta in the afternoon I normally will take a cold shower for a longer time so as the remove more heat from the body. I then will put on the clothes which I have on the cold floor earlier. With the fan or air conditioner on I will sleep on my easy chair as to sleep on the bed I will feel much warmer. Oh oh I forgot one more thing, my glass of cold water.

Fill a bottle with water and put it next to your bare skin. The coolness of the water in one area of your body will make your mind concentrate on that small part being cooled down. The same is true when it's very cold but of course you have to use hot water but not hot enough to burn your skin.

I take cool showers in the summer and also drink alot of water. I also try to stay out of the sun and rest.

I am actually used to the hot temperature of our dear country. I just take a nap naked or with minimal body coverings. Coupled with the cool air of the fan or the airconditioner, it will be alright then.
