Is it possible to forgive and forget?
My mother-in-law have not talked to her sister for more than a decade. I don't know how it happened but what I heard from my husband, Mom and her sister had a big fight over something and they stopped talking since that incident. Just like that.
Asking for forgiveness is equally hard as saying I'm sorry. There are people who are good at it and a lot of people are not. But to forgive doesn't necessarily mean you also forget. They are two different and separate things.
Sometimes people say that they forgive but they don't want to see the person who hurt them anymore, in that case, forgeting is out of the question.
I quote... "To forgive is human but to forget is divine." People are capable of forgiving and forgeting. We only have to work hard on the skill.
