Amanda Overmyer....

Even Simon said last night that he only understood a few of the words she was singing. I don't like her singing and I don't understand how she is still there, I though when you've been arrested they throw you off the show, they have done this in the past years with other contestants. Favoritism?

I have never cared for her since the judges voted her one to apper on American Idol. I can't half understand what she is singing either.I keep wishing people will stop voring for here myself.

I liked the bluesy, rock, janis joplin style music. To me its better than some of the cruddy pop out today. Oh well. Most of the winners in ai are forgettable as well as the contestants. I think there have been only three successful ones: kelly clarkson, carrie underwood, and Chris daughtery.

You're not the only one. I agree she is different but it's the same thing over and over. You can't understand her and she didn't really change it up. She sounded the same each time. And Simon nailed it when he said she's becoming boring. Going back to what someone else mentioned earlier in the discussion...the reason people were kicked off before for being arrested is because they didn't let AI know about their previous troubles. You have to disclose all that information and be honest, then you're okay. (Remember Bo Bice? Arrested as well) If not, it can and will come back to bite you. (Corey Clark)

I can't stand her singing, might just not be my style, I don't know, sounds aweful to me!

She reminds me of the rocker that they had on there last year. She even has the same hair. I cannot remember her name. I don't care for her much but did like her song last week.

I think she's just different to the rest of the group and stands out because of it. Not only with her voice and the song choices but also her appearance. I don't particularly like that style of singing, but I do think she has talent and can sing those soul like rock type songs very well.

Maybe you just don't like her style.She is more on the rock genre and she seems get beautiful and beautiful everyday as i have observed. And yes i can't understand what she is singing but she seems good.

Amanda is okay. I think that she needs to learn to do another style of music. I would like to know if she can sing pop, country, anything other than her style.

I like her singing. Its different, a little Janis Joplin style.

I really like Amanda Overmyer. I am 45 and have always like bluesy rockers. I don't think she will make it to the top 4 but I do think she is talented and offers something different from the rest of those on American Idol.

Amanda is just any other contestants who got good performance from an audition. She was given a chance to prove her talent but somehow she hasn't change her style of music. I know that this batch was really good with their own music genre and all but she didn't try other perspective. So the judges thought that her style won't attract some listeners in the future so I think she's out from Top 12 now.
